Cozy Mid-Winter Tiered Tray Styling
We’re in that weird in-between-time of the year when the holidays are behind us, but we’re still weeks away from spring blooms and sunny days. It’s wintery and cold here at the farm, and only a week ago, we had over a foot of snow! I thought it was an ideal time for some cozy, mid-winter decorating to warm us up.
Rather than doing a total home decorating overhaul, I went to work styling my favorite tiered tray. Spring will be here before we know it, but while we’re still watching the skies for flakes of snow and enjoying crackling fires to keep us warm, a super cozy themed tray in our kitchen felt like just the right amount of celebrating.

For a couple of years, this tray has been, by far, my favorite tiered tray to style (and the most popular in our shop, as well!). I love the chippy enamelware look that feels both vintage and farmhouse, but fits into any decor style with ease.

For this mid-winter look, I used a completely neutral color palette to evoke the feeling of winter on the farm. I stuck strictly to creams, wood tones, and earthy greens. To raise up the cozy level, I used the textures of natural, dried cotton pods, birch branch tealight holders, and greenery on every tier.

Lastly, no tiered tray is complete unless it incorporates your own character and interests, so I added a meaningful quote block, my favorite little wooden sheep pull toy, and a handful of vintage thread spools from my collection. At this point, I think it goes without saying, but vintage anything makes me happy!

This was such a fun project that took only a little time, but makes me smile whenever I see it. It’s definitely going to help get us through these last chilly weeks of winter!
